Oracle Business Network (OBN) is a cloud-based supplier registration and messaging service provided to Oracle customers and their trading partners. For example, organizations can use OBN to automate electronic transmission of important business documents such as Purchase Orders and Invoices with their trading partners. The OBN service is hosted at https://businessnetwork.oracle.com. You will need to be an approved trading partner on the OBN to login & exchange the messages.

The previous name was Oracle Supplier Network (OSN/OSuN). Currently OBN/OSN integrates out of the box with E-Business Suite (11.5.10, R12.0, R12.112.2), Fusion Procurement, and Peoplesoft 9.1 and higher.
Prior to the OBN(OSN), XML Gateway is used to exchange the messages directly with Customer/Supplier/B2B Hub. With Oracle Business Network, Oracle EBS/Fusion/Peoplesoft applications will exchange the messages with OBN. The OBN intruns, exchanges messages with their trading partners(suppliers/customers).
- Buying organizations are required to send and receive only OAG messages with the OSN. The cXML option is only for suppliers.
- No fees or charges – all Trading Partners participate for free
- The big advantage of OSN is that lot of trading partners are already registered with OSN. It simplifies with integration with the registered trading partners.
- OBN supports the below transactions.
Outbound – Purchase Order/Purchase Order Change/AR Invoice/Shipment Notice
Inbound – PO Acknowledgement, Advance Ship Notice, AP Invoice and Sales Order inbound
OSN provides dashboard to monitor all the inbound and outbound transactions delivery.
