- Oracle is following a “Continuous Innovation” release model for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2, delivering ongoing applications and underlying technology stack updates for 12.2 without requiring a major upgrade. 12.2 is the long-term support release for Oracle E-Business Suite, with Premier Support for 12.2 available through at least 2032. The end-date is continually reassessed and has can be extended further.
Oracle Database Release and Support Timelines for Oracle EBS Customers
- For EBS customers, The database 11gR2 support ended in Jan’2021 and ACS Market Driven Support(MDS) is available after Dec2020. The database 12.1 support ends in July’2021.
- Oracle EBS R12.1 & R12.2 are certified with Oracle Database 19c. With Database 19c, the EBS database will be converted to the Container Database (CDB) Architecture (a.k.a., multitenant architecture). The EBS 19c database will consist of a Container Database (CDB) with one Pluggable Database (PDB) (a.k.a., single tenant).
