Fusion Pricing – Maintaining Price List data using ADFDI Excel Template

Price List Administrator(s)/Pricing Manager(s) have a requirement to review the price list(s) on regular intervals and update the price lists.

There are two options to update price for the item(s) on the price list. First option is to update the price thru Manage Price Lists UI Screens, but it has to be done item by item and time consuming process. The second option is to update the price(s) thru ADFDI Excel template. With the second option, We can do mass update using ADFDI Excel Template and much easier process.

Prerequisite:

  1. Install ADFDI on your desktop
    • Download ADFDI Plug-In: Fusion Instance > Tools > Download Desk Integration Installer
  • Download ADFDI Plug-In: Fusion Instance > Tools > Download Desk Integration Installer
  • Install the Plug-In on your desktop
  • Enable Macros in the Excel (Open Excel -> File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center settings > Macro settings)

Mass update items prices on the price list using ADFDI Excel Template:

  • Navigation: Order Management > Pricing Administration > Tasks > Manage Price Lists
  • Actions > Download Spreadsheet to Maintain Price List Data
    • ManagePriceList excel template will be downloaded to the local desktop
  • Open the ManagePriceList excel template
    • Once the excel file is opened, it will prompt you to connect to the Oracle Fusion environment
    • Connect to the target environment using your fusion credentials
  • Click on Search on the Menu
    • Search for your price list
  • Click on Ok on the Search dialog > Returns price list data in the excel file
  • Do the necessary updates to revise the prices
    • In the above example, I am updating base price for item# 224906-03,
    • First duplicate rows of the line items for which prices to be updated like item # 224906-03
    • Enter the end date for the existing row of the item# 224906-03
    • Enter start date of the new row for the item# 224906-03
  • Click on “Create or Update” process the changes
  • Once the changes are processed, You can double check the data from Manage Price Lists
