A set of order lines that Order Management ships together as one group. All of these order lines ship and arrive on the same date, although they might be spread across more than one package, depending on packing requirements. Shipment sets can be assigned on an individual order line or Group of lines in an order.
- You can assign a single ship set to all the lines in an order to support customers that do not allow partial shipments. For Consolidated shipments, we can use ” Ship Lines Together” header level attribute instead of shipment set.
- Use a shipment set instead of the Ship Lines Together option when you must specify shipping on only some of the order lines, or you need to group lines into sets.
- Order Management assigns the fulfillment lines that reside in a shipment set to the same orchestration process.
- If Order Management applies a hold on one or more lines in a shipment set, then it applies the hold on the entire shipment set.
- The fulfillment line resides in a shipment set. To split this line, you can remove it from the shipment set, and then split it.
- If only some fulfillment lines of a shipment set are shipped, then the shipment set is removed from the unshipped lines.
- If you cancel all lines in a shipmentset, then you can’t add a new line to the shipment set. Instead, add your line to a different shipment set.
- The lines in a shipment set must ship together, they must share the schedule group attributes : Warehouse, Requested Ship Date and Scheduled Ship Date, Shipping Method and Shipment Priority
Shipment Set limitations in the Order Management Cloud:
- Shipment Set can be added to the sales order line(s) when you add the line to the order. You can’t use Create Order Revision to add an existing order line to a new or existing shipment set.
- You can’t move an order line from one shipment set to another shipment set. Only shipment set can be unassigned from the line.
